Missoko Bwiti Tradition

The Bassé Root Church is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to offering a sanctuary for the exploration and practice of the Missoko Bwiti tradition in the United States.

We aim to share the positive teachings of the Bwiti tradition, originating in Gabon, with a wider audience. This focus on spreading knowledge is coupled with a strong emphasis on reciprocity and collaboration with our spiritual family in Gabon.

    The vibrant Missoko Bwiti tradition can include many types of ceremonies and spiritual practices. Our programs and fire circles give everybody a place to learn about, practice and benefit from discovering this ancient tradition.

    We will be hosting regular community events throughout the year, making it easy to learn about and practice the Missoko Bwiti tradition. As the world’s first spiritual tradition, Bwiti has a rich history that can inspire an even richer and more connected view.
